Lajos Sárközy is a Junior Prima and Franz Liszt Award-winning violinist and one of the most talented and versatile musicians in Hungary. At the age of 13 he was accepted into the special talents class at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He has shown his virtuosity in many musical genres in several different ensembles.

Born in Budapest to a family of seven generations of musicians. He started learning the violin from his father at the age of 5. That same year he began his studies at the Józsefváros Music School, where his teacher was Judit Szászné Réger. At the age of 13, she was accepted into the special talents class at the Liszt Academy of Music, where she studied with Eszter Perényi. At the age of 15, he won the Gábor Radics Hungarian Jazz Violin Competition, after which he released his solo album "I am Only Fifteen".

In 2009 he played two solo concerts with the California symphony orchestra Silicon Grace Walley. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to play with such great artists as Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Tony Lakatos, Roby Lakatos, Elemér Balázs, Tim Ries, Yoyo Mayer. He has travelled all over the world as a session musician with renowned orchestras.

With his current orchestra, he is a regular at the 100 year old Restaurant, where he tries to cultivate a centuries-old musical culture that is disappearing. His aim is to promote gypsy music abroad and at home as widely as possible.
