Formed in 1998, the Budapest Jazz Orchestra is Hungary's most popular big band. For years, it has been presenting swing music and almost all jazz genres on a world-class level. All the members of the orchestra are jazz music graduates, which allows them to play in any style. In 2015, the band was voted Big Band of the Year by the public in a Jazzma.hu poll! The BJO's outstanding work is a testament to the past 20 years, during which time the band has been honoured with numerous concerts, national and international acclaim and countless foreign artists. The Budapest Jazz Orchestra enjoys excellent relations with the world's jazz stars. Some of the names the orchestra has worked with.
